Personal use

Chris Stream Rotation is a personal automation utility for livestreams on a YouTube channel that the operator controls. The operator authorizes the broadcast schedule, public visibility, titles, descriptions, cameras, and other source content, and is responsible for having permission to broadcast that content.

YouTube services

The utility uses YouTube API Services. By using the utility, the operator agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google authorization and the utility’s Privacy policy describe the handling of account information.

Operation and availability

Rotations intentionally interrupt the encoders and create new public broadcasts with new watch addresses. Availability depends on the Mac, local services, the internet connection, and YouTube. The utility does not guarantee uninterrupted streaming, archive availability, monetization eligibility, or watch-hour credit.

The operator can disable local scheduling and revoke the utility’s Google authorization. OBS and Pond use separate stream keys; to stop an active broadcast, stop its encoder and disable automatic restart as appropriate.
