Four daily broadcast blocks

The utility runs on the owner’s Mac. It prepares replacement public broadcasts, briefly pauses the encoders, and resumes the feeds on their next broadcasts.

Night

Midnight–6 AM

Morning

6 AM–noon

Afternoon

Noon–6 PM

Evening

6 PM–midnight

Times follow the Mac’s local time. Each planned rotation includes an offline interval of about 90 seconds, plus any time YouTube needs to complete the transition.

What the utility does

It uses YouTube API Services to check the authorized channel and stream status, create new broadcasts, and bind those broadcasts to the existing encoder streams. New broadcasts use public visibility, recording, and automatic start and stop. Each broadcast has its own watch address.

OBS remains open for Bird/Cat. The Pond relay runs independently. Recovery checks help resume interrupted transitions. The utility does not delete YouTube videos or unlist archives.

Authorization and control

This is an owner-operated tool with no public sign-up. Google handles authorization, and credentials are stored on the owner’s Mac. This information website does not receive the Google credentials or operate the cameras.
